The college provides practical training for the popular accounting software used by different companies in Canada. After finishing my training with Evergreen, I was able to secure a job right way with the support from the college. Evergreen helped me become a professional accounting clerk in less than a year!

Emanuele Garau

My name is Emanuele and I work as a Social Worker aid in Italy helping clients with mental illness carry out activities of daily living. I decided to enroll in the Personal Support Worker program at Evergreen College in order to gain further knowledge and experience in the health care field geared towards the care and support of people that are in need of assistance with everyday life tasks. For a person who loves helping others, whether young or old, I've found the Personal Support Worker program to be very rewarding in the sense that it has taught me the necessary skills required for the proper care of those in need of assistance due to a physical or mental disability. I had the opportunity to volunteer at various Long-term care facilities in the GTA and my Italian background and knowledge of the language became a great asset as the majority of the residents were of Italian descent. As the aging population in Canada increases, the demand for Personal Support Workers is also increasing, for this reason, I highly recommend the PSW program at Evergreen College to whoever wishes to start or continue their education in this field.

My name is Abdallah, I am international student from Algeria. I have chosen Evergreen College because I realized that the key to get into the professional world is having a professional diploma. I have decided to take the hospitality management program because i had some experiences working in hotels and restaurants back home. The hospitality management program consists of variety of courses , and a long field placement , which will give me a great opportunity to apply all what i have learned , and gain more knowledge about the hospitality industry. Finally, I would recommend this college for the other international students, simply because by taking any program in this College, they will get a professional career in the future.

Hi, I am Sehnaz from Turkey. I came to Canada as an international student. I study Community Service Worker at Evergreen College. The most important reason of my choosing Toronto is it's being a metropolitan as well as a safe city. The counseling services of the college were quite fast and professional and that was the biggest factor that comes forward during my applications. The campus is located in a very safe and convenient. All of the educators and the staff in the college are so kind, helpful and friendly. You will find yourself in such a warm place that will help you to overcome homesickness. I advise Evergreen College to anyone who wants to study abroad.

Manesa Barnes

My name is Manesa Barnes; I'm an international student from Jamaica. Coming to a new country and adapting to the new lifestyle was different at first but as I meet friends along the way and open up more both in my language and those in my surroundings, I see myself improving since I started Evergreen College. I'm no long the shy person; thanks to Evergreen College. I have successfully completed the ECA program and now I'm currently enrolled in the community service program (CSW). I feel like I have accomplish a lot by doing assignments and group work. The ECA class was really great, because I appreciate the small classes because I feel that it enhanced my learning skills and encourage me to have one on one conversation with my professor and classmates. My perspective of the class was that it had a friendly environment that made me feel welcome. I enjoyed my field placement which I did for four months. Overtime as I got more Intune in what I was doing, the children became my priority. My professor prepare me for my field placement very well, so when I went out in the field I knew what I was doing because I knew how to apply what I've learned. While I was in the ECA class, I got the opportunity to visit the Scott Mission. By being involve in donating items such as clothing, can foods and money that was put together from the bake sale by the ECA class and professor.

My name is Haider. I have worked in the Hospitality Management field in Netherland for few years. I decided to join the Hospitality Management program at Evergreen College in order to gain more North American knowledge and experience to support my European expertise and increase my knowledge level in the development and organization of hotel. I strongly recommend anyone who would like to start or continue their education in the hospitality field because the job opportunities are many and varied. In addition, the hospitality management includes different disciplines in a variety of fields. So I advise everyone who has a desire to attend this study and especially in Evergreen College! Evergreen college is the best place for this kind of academic study because there are 12 intensive courses and when I started the program I have found very efficient staff and very helpful in addition to all these privileges there is a co-op program which enhances our theoretical study.
