The Skills and Confidence You’ll Acquire
The Pharmacy Assistant Certification Program will give you the skills and self-assurance needed for a successful career in a pharmacy environment. During the course of the program, you’ll learn how to read and dispense prescriptions and prepare compounds, as well as the principles of aseptic processing, inventory control, purchasing and merchandising, and record-keeping as required under the Food and Drug Act. You’ll also learn about narcotics control, drug distribution and repacking pharmaceuticals. You’ll have ample opportunity to hone and perfect your computer processing skills and how to interact with patients and customers.
