The Skills and Confidence You’ll Acquire

As a Health Care Aide, you’ll play a crucial role in the healthcare environment by working with clients who have a variety of physical and cognitive conditions and illnesses. You’ll learn how to safely assist clients with bathing, feeding, mobility and other essential duties related to personal hygiene and everyday living. You’ll also learn to perform therapeutic activities, including administering medication, taking care of wounds, exercises and other duties related to the client’s well-being, recovery and/or comfort.

The Career Opportunities You’ll Have

Successful graduates of Evergreen College’s Health Care Aide program are qualified for employment in a number of different workplace environments, including private agencies, palliative care facilities, government social service departments and agencies, hospitals, or as privately-hired health care aides to clients who require either short-term assistance or ongoing support.
