Evergreen College offers a wide range of career services to its current and graduate students, including consultation, assistance, and job search help. Every Evergreen student receives personal attention with job search leads and career assistance beginning early in the program.
 

We regularly update our database with the latest employment opportunities to help you in your search for employment and field placement positions. Evergreen College is well respected in the industry, and has an excellent reputation for producing outstanding results. Evergreen’s “Placement Coordinator” will arrange co-op / field placements for students who have completed the theory part of the program, in locations that best accommodate the student’s request (location and schedule).
 

Our Employment Services offer a number of workshops to make sure you get the most out of your education and market yourself effectively to prospective employers. These services include:

 

 

On the first day of class, you’ll take part in an orientation session that provides background information on the college and an overview of your program of study. The Program Manager will discuss the courses, expectations, timelines and field placement procedures while investigating current trends in related career paths and employment.
 

 

This workshop goes over resume formats, layouts and protocols that allow you to apply creative ideas to your new resume. We’ll help you create the perfect resume that will highlight your education and qualifications so your resume stands out from all the others. We’ll also work with you on your portfolio so employers will know just how qualified you are for the job!
 

 

It’s been said that an employer knows within the first 5 seconds of the interview if you’re the right applicant for a job or not. This workshop will hone your interpersonal skills, self-confidence, motivation and interview performance, including such things as eye contact, how to carry yourself, how you answer interview questions.
 

Our dedicated staff will help you in your job search, including help searching for and finding the “hidden job markets” that often go unnoticed. Expand your employment options by learning exactly where to look and how to make yourself stand out once you’re ready to apply!
 

A Placement Coordinator will arrange a field placement for you to get you the real, on-the-job experience you need on your resume. After completing your in-class instruction, you’ll get that crucial hands-on training that lets you put everything you’ve learned into practice.
 

 

All of our current and graduate students have access to our job search database, which is regularly updated with the most current employment opportunities to help you in your search for employment and field placement positions. Alumni can use our Graduate Employment Services even after they’ve successfully graduated from Evergreen College.
 

Students have internet access to our databases at all times so they can perform job searches, do research and network with others. Our computer labs are equipped with the latest software programs, allowing students to work on their computer skills outside of class time.
